Caroline Co. 4-Hers shine with communications skills

DENTON, Md. (April 18, 2017) — The Caroline County 4-H Extension office hosted a local communications contest on March 3 at the Caroline 4-H Park.
Ella Dorr, who won the radio spot class, started off the event with her radio spot about STEM opportunities found in 4-H projects. Skylar Blunt — who took first place in prepared speech — then gave a prepared speech about horse husbandry.
Paige Taylor, whose presentation was runner-up to Dorr in the radio spot competition, delivered a radio spot about joining 4-H and Maddie Porter, who took first place in 1st visual presentation, spoke about what someone would see traveling to Assateague Island.
Every girl then received then gave their presentations at the regional level in Easton, Md., on March 31.
