Lambs, pigs featured at 10th Elite East Sale

FREDERICK, Md. (May 2, 2016) — The 10th Elite East Sale was held at the fairgrounds on April 9.
Seventeen lambs averaged $289.70; 11 goats averaged $291.82; and 100 pigs averaged $206.95.
The grand champion female pig, consigned by Hilty Show Pigs, of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., brought $450 from John Ebersole of Duncannon, Pa.
The reserve grand champion, also consigned by Hilty, brought $700 from Carl Curtis of Landisburg, Pa.
The grand champion male pig, another consignment by Hilty, sold for $375.00 to Ashley Hahn of Connelsburg, Md., and the reserve champion male pig, consigned by Mary-Oakie Farm of Frederick County, Md., brought $225 from Brooks Sigel of Breezewood, Pa.
The champion club lamb, consigned by Ashley Club Lambs of Lyndhurst, Va., sold for $500 to Tim Baron of Hume, Va., and the reserve champion, also a consignment from Ashley Club Lambs, brought $375 from James Balsley of Lyndhurst, Va.
Michael Marston of Edinburg, Va., purchased the Champion Boer Goat consigned by Fitzwater Boer Goats, of Oakland, Md., for $285.
Fitzwater also had the reserve Boer Goat that sold for $600 to Russell Holtery of Lusby, Md.
