AFP to give five $2,000 scholarships

EASTON, Md. (Jan. 13, 2015) — American Farm Publications Inc., the parent company of The Delmarva Farmer will offer five $2,000 scholarships for those who will be attending college in 2015.
The scholarships are funded by the annual Delmarva Farmer Golf Tournament, and are available to members of farm families, to those employed in an agriculture-related field and to those who are studying for a career in agriculture and have maintained a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher at the student’s current learning institution.
The scholarships are open to residents of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey.
Applications are available in this and subsequent issues of The Delmarva Farmer newspaper and available online at www.americanfarm.com.
To apply, students should fill out an application (which can be found on Page 20, or printing one after visiting http://americanfarm.com) and provide a current high school or college transcript and submit an essay described on the application.
